Entourage why is vince mad at e
Long before James Cameron was criticizing Wonder Woman , he was turning a different member of the Justice League into a box office superhero. Further proving that EW has been owning this beat, read our interview with Entourage creator Doug Ellin about everything Aquaman , both Chase's and Momoa's. Riding high from the success of Aquaman , Chase looked to cash in his newfound star power for an ambitious passion project.
For many reasons, non-A-lister Wagner Moura proved to be a much better fit in the role — even though Medellin did introduce the world to future TV star Sofia Vergara. The failure of Medellin left Chase in need of a hit after he had spent the last few months living on a remote island with only Turtle and who knows how many beautiful models rock bottom still manages to be glamorous on Entourage. Bickering between Chase and the director led to production being halted and never completed.
Sound familiar? In a season 2 episode of Entourage , Chase said he wanted to model his career after Johnny Depp. Then, in , Baz Luhrmann adapted F. And guess who he got for the title role?
And guess who played Carraway? Cut off from all his friends and family for three months! Back to his movie idea: The main character is an American who smuggles his dog into Romania to dig for survivors.
Everyone hates the idea, but no one can admit it to Vince. He heads to the bathroom so that everyone can talk behind his back. This is a movie of the week, Ari cries. At home, Vince goes to get an iced tea, and not an alcoholic drink, Drama insists, and everyone starts talking about him again. An awkward bro moment follows, so they diffuse it by talking about his stupid movie.
So now, Johnny has to plan a party. Back in Ari land, Mrs. Ari, sorry, soon-to-be-ex Mrs. Ari, is not happy. But when is she ever? Ari calmly explains. Finally, Art comes clean that their relationship status is devastating him and that he wants to come home. He walks out. Meanwhile the fake surprise party planning is underway complete with helium-filled balloons. But then the first guest arrives — Billy!
But then Vince starts telling the girls at the party about his Romanian miner movie. Billy, however, is turned on by it, or at least is willing to read his script. If not, do you want to? Am I right? E needs a drink, Scott needs a drink, and an angry Ari shows up badly needing a drink. Vince says he needs a drink, so Drama hands him a juice box and E takes this opportunity to confront his friend about being a shitty friend.
Vince is all: E! And Turtle finally snaps. I need a smoke. So the boys reconvene in closed quarters. David Frankel. Storyline Edit. The outcome of the meeting is hazy: Vince likes Billy, but Eric is getting a bad feeling, and they walk away with a script that he has made revisions to. The revision that causes the most uproar begins to cause some tension among the ranks. Shauna lets Eric know that Vince's sex symbol status could be on the line if he chooses to go forward with this movie.
Eric makes a secret phone call to Ari to express his concern. After hearing some reassuring wisdom, the boys screen Billy's previous film, which was a huge hit at Sundance. Amazingly, they all like it. The next day, handshakes are exchanged, and the decision is made to entrust the film to Billy Walsh.
Add content advisory. Did you know Edit. Goofs In the scene when Billy, E. In the next shot, angled behind Billy, the cup is still on the table. Quotes Eric : Did you read this? Eric : What? User reviews 1 Review. Top review. Billy Walsh. This is, in many ways, the Entourage episode that defines the rest of the series, as this is when the show diverts from generic satirical stabs at all things movie-related reviews, talk shows, weed etc.
Having convinced Ari that Queens Boulevard is the film Vince wants to do, the gang now has to meet the prospective director of the project, a Sundance hotshot named Billy Walsh Rhys Coiro. Vincent is immediately attracted to Walsh's edgy, original personality, while Eric is a little more skeptical, especially after discovering the dude has rewritten parts of the script and inserted a homo-erotic sex scene involving Vince.
In the meantime, Ari tries to be on a normal vacation with his wife Perrey Reeves , only to have work constantly interfering, and Eric also has to deal with the drunken phone message he left on Kristen's machine thinking it was Emily. The best thing about The Scene is the introduction of Walsh: uncompromising, ambitious and occasionally flat-out crazy - the kind of character everyone loves to watch in a Hollywood-related series.
Coiro, a complete unknown before landing the meaty role, conveys the right mix of insanity and inspired determination, giving a performance that's almost strong enough to rival Jeremy Piven's. Speaking of which, for once Ari doesn't land the best line of the episode although the revelation that he uses Viagra is ace as usual ; no, that honor would go to Drama's philosophical take on Vince's dilemma regarding the gay scene: "I'd take it in the ass for an Oscar!
