Why is skyrim so addicting

Lol typeo, meant second half bottem of the Islands. I was going to play but got distracted my the Map Editor I have 3 very cool Maps I maded while Editing onto one game froze ha aleast I didn't lose that much.

User Info: Night-Wolf. Oh yes, I wasted hours and hours in Skyrim. I've been able to control myself a bit more this week because Skyrim recently crashed when I tried to use console commands to get an unobtainable shout Sometimes I know its not good for me, but it's simply too hard to put down. No lollygaggin'. I wish I could form that kind of addiction to Skyrim. I do with Fallout, and it allows me to get hundreds of hours of entertainment from the games I do with Fallout I feel the same for Skyrim at least.

I'm currently doing a first playthrough of Morrowind and I haven't played Oblivion since Skyrim came out. But whenever I try to get into Skyrim, it just feels like I'm faced with a vast, boring world, where nothing I do means anything.

No interesting characters, no interesting quests. I have played hundreds of hours in the past though, but that was a long time ago. Shoot first, think never.

Overall though I guess it depends on what you find enjoyable. If you're a gamer who likes to explore every inch of a gameworld then you're going to dump some major time into Skyrim.
