Who owns neighborhood restaurant group

Maybe you have heard of some of our brands? As its name suggests, the Neighborhood Restaurant Group is not a corporation, but rather a collective of idiosyncratic gathering places that reflect the communities in which we reside.

NRG is the amalgamation of talented and committed restaurant professionals who share common goals: to surpass the expectations of the guest; to operate independent, exceptional, distinctive, and conscientious chef-driven restaurants with ambitious beverage programs; and to support the neighborhoods in which we reside.

The group, which has almost exclusively opened small, full-service neighborhood restaurants, is now charting a course that mainly involves food halls — or, as NRG co-founder Michael Babin likes to call them, multitenant operations.

The Grand Delancey will be a high-end bar that anchors the 35,square-foot Market Line, which is slated to open later this year and grow in future phases to a whopping , square feet. There will be 50 draft lines, two beers on cask, and a bottle list of between 40 and 50 items. The New York outpost will actually open before the other food hall that NRG is working on, the Roost in Hill East , which has been in the works for two years.

The other outlets are still TBA. The idea, he said, is to streamline the service element of such a multitenant venue. That could include technology that allows people to place orders without standing in line and having servers deliver your food — a system that could be in place at The Grand Delancey. This is important to me. We are not just opening restaurants. Hospitality industry veteran and chef by trade, Howard developed a strong reputation for his work ethic and his career-long commitment to strive to be the best in all aspects of his restaurants.

His cooking interest began early.
